IMO the only thing that doesn't suck is your own little (virtual)
webserver, which is available for as little as ~4 Euro a month in
Germany. That's much less than people pay for telephone or as much as
one trip back and forth with the metro, a pack of cigarettes, three
beers ... 

I'd say, practically everyone (at least in countries like Germany,...)
can pay this. If someone doesn't want to pay this, then they will have
to live with services, that suck.
