there was a discovery channel (i mean, fu*kn crab channel...) show
regarding ufo's that focused on a church in england.  they hired a guy
to use this technique to try to recreate some of the patterns in the
church's frescos that they thought might both mirror and be triggered by
certain notes if it was a 'dimentional gateway'. (he was unsucsessful,
but made some super neato standing wave patterns in the process - he
used a metal plate and a violin bow w/ salt.  bowed the edge of the
plate for notes.) 

don't remember his name, and a little google'ing didn't show much, but
try "discovery channel" ufo england etc.
