sure, but are those connections where the emotions come from, or are they something else? When I look at a work of art I know nothing about there are two parallel response processes - a) emotional/ physical/ physiological and b) intelluctual/ philosophical. Both happen in parallel. I'm not sure if they normally influence each other or not, but my instinct says they can even if they don't always.
