and i'd argue that part of the marketing towards beginners is  
usability, osx-unix towards advanced users.
of course they are just nice features too.

look, it's all the same to me, but i'd never go as far as (for  
myself) stating that i'm immune to marketing just because i'm  
critical towards it.
as you stated, it works on so many levels.

you're going to have to do better than that ; )
