Why wait? Ubuntustudio is just an Ubuntu with some special
preconfiguration and probably a kernel patched for insanely low
latencies. You can also install Ubuntu for now, or Debian or 64Studio
from http://64studio.com/ or run a pure:dyne live CD:
http://puredyne.goto10.org/

But I suppose you know that already. ;)
