apps won't run in it
- only Apple will be making apps for the iPhone -- i.e. no 3rd party  
apps planned as of yet
- doesn't have external storage capability
- uses DRM as does the iPod
- doesn't have GPS
- locked to Cingular service in the US
- costs way too much
- the usual Apple overhyped piece of bourgeois tech
