Re: [microsound] (ot) summer book reading list
Omnivores Dilemma - Micheal Polan
The authour write for the New York Times and deconstructs four meals
through the course of the book... The first meal is fast food, organic,
self sustained farm, and hunting and gathering (foraging)... For each meal
the authour investigates the journey of the meal from origin to table and
reveals the ethical dilemmas that come about these meals... This book was
real eye opener and changed my eating habits somewhat... Mind you this not
a radical vegan/antimeat manifesto more of a sit back and really realise
how your food is produced and ends up on your table...
Kingdom Come - James G. Ballard
Wife just picked this up for me... No review untill I can find some real
time to read it..
