Re: [microsound] help required re Native Instruments Guitar Rig V1 foot controller software needed

yes version 1 foot controller works with version 2 of software... there is a place in the GUI to select which foot pedal one has.

i don't know much about the sound card question, but i think it should work with any stereo sound card... its a little weird in that it uses one channel of audio for the actual signal from your guitar, and then uses channel 2 of your stereo pair for what they call the "control" signal... which is what it uses to control parameters inside of the software...

i think the version 2 of the foot pedal works differntly, with a USB sound card built right in...

i don't think the control signals produced by the original foot pedal are MIDI... meaning, i don't think they are usable outside of the GR software.

good luck.

dear microsounders,

erm i have the blue foot controller for version 1 of
guitar rig (native instruments). i'd like to be able
to do fennesz type stuff with it ie use it to control
looping and stuff, maybe multi loops, and also volume
and more average type stuff too......

can i use any guitar rig software with it - or just
version 1, as i note the v2 foot controller is
different to the v1 and what are the compatible
soundcards please?

has anybody got the v1 software please? as the
soiftware is well pricey and i'm not sure if the new
verisons will work with the old foot controller
anyway.

looking forward to hearing from you.

all the best
