Not sure if it's going to hit any sweet spot for the people of this list
since I'm very much of a 'pop' oriented person but, I enjoyed in 2007:

+ Beck: 'the information' - his best album by far, keeping the pop
composition with interesting sonic trickery

+ Stephan Bodzin: 'Liebe ist' - I'm not a minimal fan per se but stephan's
redefined it as a viable genre. My all time favorite of his is a bootleg of
a mix he did over here in brussels but since it's not officially available,
I'll put the album instead.

+ Saul Williams: 'The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!' -
People should quickly forget about the hype of radiohead for selling/giving
for free their album online. Saul Williams did the same with an exceptional
album producted by trent reznor. The best nine inch nails album since
antichrist superstar. I give it five stars and ultimate blessing.

+ Pendulum - 'Hold your colour'. Officially a 2005 release but re-released
in 2007. Efficient in your face drum and bass backed with guitar. High
energy ready to boost your spirit whenever you need it

And finally, although I never thought I'd write this

+ Britney spears: Blackout. Usually her albums bores me to the bone. However
this one has about 7 tracks that are amazinlgy catchy, jaw dropping
production from danja & bloodshy, and in a way clever. I'm still under shock
but I truely love it !

the funny thing being that I got the last three in December while I was
about to declare 2007 a dead year musically speaking.
