ohh I always wanted a D1, but now that D50 is just begging to replace my
R-09...

claim.  Perhaps the D50 shares this.  D1 is also made out of a titanium
body.  The D50 is likely plastic.  Analog meters on the D1 are stylish.
They are missing on the D50.  D50 however allows you to switch between X/Y
and wide stereo by moving the condensers, that's a nice feature.
