Re: [microsound] use of complex data for composition
One distinction that I think should be made is the use of complex data to
compose and the use of complex data to synthesize sounds.
I have come across a few people that use complex data to compose, but then
they merely use midi GM format sounds in the composition, which for me is
quite dull sounding.
Here are links to three little projects I did. Though they relate
stochatistic models that are mimic real world systems and networks, the data
from them is used to both compose and synthesize the sounds. These were
done awhile ago and I am advancing both composition and synthesis
techniques.

I have some other videos of simulations that I then used to generate sound
kicking around if you are interested and I can describe the systems more in
depth.

Subject: [microsound] use of complex data for composition
Hello
I have to write a paper about the use of complex data
for composition. These data can be stock exchange
prices, football scores, wheather data. So te data has
to come fropm 'reallife' situations, not stochastic
formulas. Anyone can provide me with information? If
you happen to do this kind of composition, please send
me some explanation so I can include it in my paper.
Thanks
Samuel
