Re: [microsound] use of complex data for composition



The reason that I prefer 'real-life data' above
stochastic functions is really subjective. It is a
choice I make and also stochastic music has been made
for a long time (Xenakis) and I don't think I can add
something there. I think the terrain of real-life data
is a bit unexplored and if there are applications,
then most of the times, the composers just use
GM-sounds. I want to turn data in interesting music.
(I know I am repeating myself here)
