[microsound] iTunes iSux
There are some very extreme bugs within iTunes when dealing with
.aif(f) or .wav files. The problem is that iTunes runs its DRM filter
on all files to see if they are "burned from an cd or bought from
iTunes"; the issues resides in that their DRM filters breaks direct
links to files, then they will not show up in iTunes, the files more
than likely still exist.
and this is why I refuse to ever buy another iPod to use as a mp3
player or use iTunes for anything but casual net-radio listening
next mp3 player I'm getting is a Sansa and so I can drag my mp3's
onto and off of it rather than using iTunes
gawd what a piece of crap
and don't get me started on Apple Mail
I hate it even though I use it daily
sheesh!
I'm considering buying a cheap used Dell and loading Ubuntu onto it
for office admin work
some things Apple does well (example: FCP) while other apps are still
trying to join the 21C of computing
