The easiest way of getting audio data into visual data is to use QT Coder in
SoundHack?. It's not the only way but Tom has a really great method for
(stealing my idea) interpolating audio into QuickTime movies and back again..
Once you have the QuickTime it's just a matter getting hip to After Effects
and, if you want to be excruciatingly punctilious, Photoshop. If anyone is
interested, I have a very simple little project I can email round. It
requires AE4 and weighs in at about 12MB stuffed. Anyone who wants it can
respond to me directly through either my CalArts or Universal Studios
accounts.
