The bee show

    Did anyone in the SF Bay area go to Miya Masaoka's "The Bee Show" last
weekend? There were some moments. In particular I was moved (literally) by the
section in the first piece where Ms. Masaoka beat the bottom of her koto to fill
the room with palpable bass frequencies.
    The drum  machine and laser bits at the end cast a shadow over the whole
event for me, though. I couldn't quite figure out why they were there...
