RE: [microsound] re:filmsound



that's interesting, because chris marker's "la jetee," i think, would be an
amazing subject for re-soundtracking...  i can't, in fact, recall what the
soundtrack sounds like -- i'm thinking that it's actually done without any
music, though i could be wrong.  but given the look and feel of the film,
and the subject matter (memory, the moebius strip of the self), i could see
amazing things being done with subtle and shifting microscopic
compositions...

fwiw, in '97 i performed an alternative soundtrack to chris marker's
'sans 
soleil' at 'freaky loops' - one of the biggest occasional electronic
music

i recall the e'd up raver kiddies being grossed out by the scene of a 
giraffe's eyes being pecked out by a vulture.

ob:micro - there was much glitchiness in my soundtrack, juxtaposed with 
obligatory beats.
