This sounds a bit like Jacques Attali ("Politics of Noise"), doesn't it? That
is, working with whatever musical tool you like just *because* you like --
the activity of playing with Max just for the sheer enjoyment it brings you,
not for producing a piece that will be finished, then released, then earn you
money (which would just be a reproduction of the capitalist/society "code"
etc.).

At least I think it might be related. And it's sensible stuff, really.
