another tech query

Hi

another technical query from me,
i hope nobody gets upset about this :)

this continues my 'computer advice' thread.
after many sleepless nights, i decided to get the new
powerbook, and then i thought of a way to actualy
buy the thing. when i went through the specs with
my local apple dealer, i noticed that it has "16-bit
CD-quality stereo input/output". i dont know much
about this, but i know that my pinnacle soundcard
offers 20bit converters, and that in proffesional studios
they work with up to 24bit convertion rate. i guess that
its usualy impossible to notice any difference in most
media, if there is any. but where does it make difference?
should i be bothered with this? i know many of you work
with powerbooks. does this effect anything at all?
the mystery... the mischief...

thanks
E Assaf
