.... I disagree.

There are other apps that allow for lots of FFT procesing,
Csound, MetaSynth, MAX/MSP, maybe even Reaktor [?].

But no other Mac app permits the depth of FFT based DSP
that SoundHack allows in such a straight forward fashion.

Using it with some friendly apps [ Lemur, QuickTime,
Argeïphontes Lyre] can render seriously beautiful and
unheard-of sounds.

How is a program 'obsolete' ?

Computer today are faster [not slower]. Therefore it's
safe to assume SoundHack today runs faster. =)

Some FFT proccesses can take a lot of time and calculation,
this is why most commercial products don't use it. SoundHack
provides a refreshing alternative.
