two notices about three rehauled web sites!

1) just a quick word regarding no type <http://www.notype.com>, which is
back up with a brand new design (to be completed this week) & a new
single by the viceroy aka canadian rising star of leftfield dance music
tomas jirku.  as usual, free mp3 audio with style is served on an html
plate for you to freely indulge in.  more news items are included on the
site regarding tomas jirku, regarding his forthcoming debut cd,
_variants_, expected soon on alien8 recordings.

2) as a sidenote: i've been spending the last few months working on 2
new sites for 2 local labels/distributors specialized in experimental,
electroacoustic, & plain original music.  i am pasting the urls to you
as i think they should be of interest to the people on this list, & i
genuinely think that they deserve some more exposure out of the montreal
black hole:

<http://www.electrocd.com/index_e.html> has been specializing in some of
the most expert electroacoustic music for the past 10 years.  composers
from quebec, canada, the usa, france, germany & god knows where else are
represented: names such as appleton, bokanowski, chion, dhomont, dolden,
normandeau, vande gorne, westerkamp, to list a few.  these quality
releases are regular fixtures of international prizes, including prix
noroit-leonce petiot & prix ars electronica.

~ ambiances magnetiques / dame <http://www.actuellecd.com/index_e.html>
exists since 1984 & hosts a flurry of projects from montreal-based
artists, either solo or in collaboration.  among the artists featured
are martin tetreault (turntable), alexandre st-onge (electronics,
notably in klaxon gueule), rene lussier (electric guitar), diane
labrosse (sampler) to name a few, as well as international collaborators
such as fred frith, joelle leandre, ikue mori, otomo yoshihide & zeena parkins.
