Even though I think the 555 comp is really nice, I'd say it's a collection
of lo-fi indie rock/electronics and 2nd/3rd rate Autechre clones rather 
than one of advanced IDM Max/MSP/Pluggo/DSP sound manglers.

Farmers Manual - FSCK (OR)
Jake Mandell - The Placeckick EP (Carpark)
Mouse On Mars - Niun Niggung (Thrill Jockey)
Michael Fakesch - Marion (Musik Aus Strom)
Hrvatski - Oiseaux 96-98 (Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge)

And of course all the Mego stuff, especially Fennesz.
Even though I don't really enjoy the music on that Fuckhead cd, there's A
LOT of DSPing on it.
