more deep, heavy philosophical concepts

question the first: having read several interviews with bernhard guenter in the past where he seems fairly sure of his desire to have his music listened to at near-inaudible levels, i was curious - does anyone actually do this? i'm wondering if his music is completely inaudible to me at lower levels because i have a short attention span, i have tinnitus, or i live in a moderately loud part of new jersey.

question the second: am i the only one who thinks the ritornell packaging is ugly and kind of annoyingly put together? the flaps on the inside of the folder are glued so that the playing side of the CD can easily be scratched by the over-zealous employees at my local record store... i thought _that_ lesson had been learned years back.

and what's up with this pseudo-generic look? since each is quite obviously printed from individual negatives/masters, why not try to do something interesting with the sleeves? are they somehow saving money here? or trying to establish some kind of cod-school-of-art 'identity' for their artists?

back to my world of fog and confusion.
