I believe DS-1, GRM Tools(at least the VST version, not the original different
one) and Hyperprism are all available on PC, but here's more not
available on
the PC: Argeïphontes Lyre, B1257+12, Audiosculpt, SoundMaker/SoundMagic,
PDS Soundview, MarcoHack,
BombFactory Plug-ins, Pluggo(that's included with the reference to MSP I guess)
ProTools 4.3 with no additional hardware required and all of those AS/RTAS
plug-ins, DigitalPerformer and some nice MAS plug-ins, Spark..... most
of these
don't have anything like them at all on the PC.
on the PC only side there is AudioMulch, Acid, CrusherX, and SayIt
that might
not have anything like them on the Mac.
Most of the programs I use on the Mac have nothing like them on the PC,
also I
think the Windoze OS is very clunky and can be tedious to navigate--to
me the
Mac is transparent at lets me work without noticing the OS.
PC's: well, the "right-click" is very nice and sorely missing from the
mac OS.
Price? well, you get what you pay for sometimes I think I saw the 450Mhz
G4 is
still quite a bit faster (over 30%, maybe more?) than a 1000Mhz PC.

yes, it depends on many things on both PC's and Macs, right now I think
my PC is
crashing about just as often as the Mac, but I hardly use the PC...

yeah, I don't want to get into it any more detail, as this discussion
could go
on forever--it alway does... I just wanted to point out the other
important apps that are missing
from both platforms. Most of the other factors are preference and personal
experience, I do think Macs still have an overall edge for graphics and audio.
Use what you're comfortable with and does what you need it to do.
