Sorry to keep harping on this... I know this isn't really supposed to be a 
hardware forum, but I thought you all might have the answers I needed:

1) The "VX pocket" card is stereo only, not multitrack.

2) same goes for any USB device. USB is way too slow to do anything 
multitrack.. it's great for mice and keyboards, but too slow for anything 
else.. I can't believe people are buying USB CD burners and burning their 
CDs so fucking slow.
