Re: [microsound] new tetsu inoue

So my question for taylor about the album is were you guys collocated or
was this an over the net project. Some of the album sounds to me
like strange little musical exchanges between computers talking talking to
each over a network. They're many packetized temporally compressed sounds
and little digital noise style clicks that built up this impression for
me.

tetsu lives in san francisco and i live in NY.. so the collaboration
was done with the exchange of CD-Rs full of soundfiles.. and we would
edit sounds and compose with each other's sounds.. and then send
another round of reworked files back and forth.. this went on for
about 5 or 6 times until we had a solidified body of work. because
some of the files were many megabytes and our net connections slow,
we had to resort to the exchange of cds thru the mail as opposed to
email..

taylor,
