Funny. I've written a few things for the Classical Tower Pulse (mostly under pseudonyms). You can't beat a magazine edited by Damon Krukowski (of Galaxie 500/Magic Hour/Damon & Naomi fame) with a staff consisting of David Grubbs, Lee Ranaldo, Kyle Gann, etc... I've been amazed at how incredibly anti-sales they are. In fact, one article I'd written on the early history of electronic music came with a 'recommended listening' bar consisting entirely of out of print cd compilations. This was no problem to them. As a buyer for Tower for years this would drive me completely insane (i.e. customers getting info about records out of the free giveaway 'monthly advertisment' that we have absolutely no way of getting) but of course it's great from the writers' standpoint (i.e. a record's non-availability shouldn't discount its relevance)... -k
