Re: [microsound] napster shut down

i would have to say duepree's feelings are exactly how i used to feel and it
still is reasonably. needless to say though, i tried out napster- before
the trouble and media deal started. i was frightened by it. all i did
think about was all the infringment occuring (though it wasnt a major
concern). i also questioned why people were so obssesed and wanted to spend
so much of their time finding songs on there and collecting them furiously.
i do support the idea of supporting these artists, but at the same time to
think that the RIAA feels they have the right to brandish themselves as the
law of the land and crack down on an endevour such as this, i greatly
disagree with. especially when we all know it will not stop. other than
that there's some guy on napster who has a collection of my songs (some hard
to find). so i realize napster cant be all that bad :P

i'm not an MP3 listener/collector.. and while i don't care too much
about copyright laws .. i could really care less about the napster
thing.. it hasn't affected me.. although i assume it's a blow for
music piraters around the world..
