"Napster" (the concept) will hardly be shut down... there are tons of
alternate servers to use that Napster, Inc. has no control over. For a
start check out http://opennap.sourceforge.net/ -- you can't use the
Napster Inc. client since they're hardcoded to Napster.com servers, but
there are many replacements for all platforms. And that's without getting
into gnutella, hotline, ftp, metallica songs steganographically encoded
into bad New Acoustic songs on mp3.com....

Personally, I don't find much use in it, all I ever seem to find is Belle
& Sebastian or Britney Spears. There's not much else out there on college
dorm room servers, I guess.
