thaemlitz is always referenced as the words guy in the mille plat 
camp..but i think there is a serious problem with his position and a 
general misunderstanding off mill-plats position .. his texts are 
dominated by a sort of late 80s early 90s gay activist rhetoric...of 
the act up style of politics...this goes
against deleuze etc esp. with the whole ritornell (refrain) type stuff....

in this sense thaemlitz hangs himself...his ideas are so spelled out 
that it doesn't take long to see the holes in his arguments...    but 
is it better to shout out your ideas or keep
 quiet >>  no one really knows what is happening inside the head of 
someone who doesn't give out their ideas
   once ideas are put out into the world they have a chance to evolve 
and grow...<<<

the worst for this keeping quiet achim szepanski    himself, who on 
paper is in one of the best positions to
 open up his rhetoric to more    discourse etc,and in the end doesn't 
lift a finger past sending the site's url which has a few interviews 
and thaemlitz's liner notes.  >>   though i guess there may be a 
language problem happening here??

that said thamelitz in my book is making some of the most interesting 
audio by far in this area
   and mille plat in general is releasing a constant stream of 
fantastic sounds.
