technical Powerbook question

-----A technical question since so many travel around the world 
-----with Powerbooks in this group.  A friend of mine is has a 
-----G3 Powerbook and is going to be living in Scotland for two 
-----years (coming from the US).   What kind of converters will 
-----he need and are there any performance issues?  (I've heard 
-----something about having trouble with interference on the 
-----active matrix screens in different countries).
