what, pray tell, are these conservative alignments?

Immersing/pursuing/idolizing/focusing on technology and technological progress with it's close relations to the military industrial complex and western commodity fetishism could be called conservative or even reactionary by some. Some might say that any art turned business is conservative. As for punk, rock or reggae... can't any music can be used as a vehicle for enlightenment, for expression or for entertainment?

Nice discussion... but why do all the really interesting threads occur when I'm too busy or exhausted to really chip in...? Not that I have anything really earthshattering to add...

g'night
