One seriously good argument for buying a Powerbook 500MHz these days is that
its price has just (this week, in fact) been drastically reduced (in Norway
with about $650). In addition, you get stuff like 128MB RAM, a 20GB harddisk
and FireWire. It´s a great machine for all musical (and visual) applications
and purposes, and since I´m so happy with my 400MHz you should be even happier
with a 500MHz.

I won´t comment on the PC part. It seems PC not to.
