Lucky Kitchen find more hits...
Just seen this review of the new Lucky Kitchen CD 'Find the hits', its
relevant to this list and I have a track on it ;)
"For 4 years now, the Lucky Kitchen label mediates between intense
electronic innovation and human honesty. The new Lucky Kitchen project,
a remix of LK001, continues this tradition of sonic excellence. Featured
artists: Alejandra and Aeron: (formerly Alejandra and Underwood. The
force behind the Lucky Kitchen. Known for dynamic electronics and
humorous anthropological explorations). Pimmon (Unique glitch-worker
from Australia). Sachiko M (Consistently innovative Japanese electronic
operator). Aerospace Soundwise (Excellent and subtle audio engineer from
Chicago. Member of the TV Pow ensemble). To Rococo Rot (Quiet and
delicate rhythmic structures). Suetsu (His sounds are special, funny and
playful, due to his affinity with video games and other contemporary
domestic electronics). Steven Marcus Taylor (Formerly Horse Opera. His
quietly sonic reverberations recall Mego, but with a subtle touch).
Semiconductor (Their electronic playground recalls their animation work
-- active, non-objective, and inspired). Goodiepal and Tordis (From
Denmark, like Lego. Toy-like, and natural noise, off rhythms, and a mean
beat-box). Electric Sheep (Shy character from Cologne. The happiest
little track we've ever heard). I-Sound (his hard concrete style sounds
crisp and totally confident), Pena Ruido (Short, intense noise bursts
from Bilbao. The new Spanish wave?), Jansky Noise (Cutting up the
classics, where noise and pop meet and hate each other). Nick Birmingham
(Half of the extremely broken Dummy Run electric). Leo (from Rio -- new
new new New York!), Jeswa (Miami beats, this time simple bubbly tones).
Matmos (Those loveable California breakbeat surfers). Hrvatski (Darling
extreme electronics. This time an anthem). Designed by LK, Spain, this
emperor blue package stands out -- like all LK releases. LK 8 weaves
remix and source material to form a dream-like journey through the best
of today¥s sounds and soundmakers. This project was 3 years in the
making, and completes the cycle began with LK001, Find the Hits (and
then use them)."
