berhard guenter uses and old mac power-pc and boots off the internal drive
that has a fan and is noisy but once it is booted turns that drive off and
switches over to an external hard-drive that is quite noise free.  again,
relatively expensive but effective.

Two things: these things are mighty expensive (about $599), and what I don´t
understand is: these things have fans, too. So...what do you do with the
noise
from the ISO.MAC/BOX?

who owns a rather quiet Powerbook 400, though I wonder if the harddrive
noise
should be quieter.
