This one jumped immediately out of the pile as a classic: it takes an allstar lineup from Vienna, mixes up styles sadly all too often excluded from each other's realms, and ties the whole together with a bizarre and engaging narrative, as if Lars Von Trier's "Zentropa" had been mated with This Mortal Coil in the heat of a high-RPM harddrive. For me what raises this album above the fray is that it IS an album - with a linear flow from start to finish and the power to remove the listener into its own weird world for a bit more than an hour - rather than merely a collection of nice tracks. For those not yet acquainted with this sonic treasure, make sure to buy the CD version, as the vinyl as I understand it only includes the musical tracks and omits the unifying spoken interstitials.
