i believe i read about _good news about space_ (not "from" space as my
last post said) either on this list or the idm list. i was enjoying the
album before i knew about the process, though; i don't know what
appealed to me about it, i think i liked the liveliness of the sounds &
the general "organic" quality of it. actually someone had mentioned
florian hecker in relation to shirt trax; if you enjoyed hecker's _[ot]
xackpy breakpoint_ cdr (also on or, & also a vastly underrated album,
_very_ different from his mego output) then you'll probably be into
shirt trax... on the whole though, both are very peculiar in their own
right & maybe that's why i like them after all.
& speaking of peculiar & once again fairly o/t... the captain
beefheart & the magic band anthology _the dust blows forward_ (rhino).
words can't begin to describe how wonderful it is. so much explosive
imagination contained in just 2 cds, you'd think the cover is about to
blow up...
