although i know _records_, i don't know much about christian marclay's
other material (though i have noticed that his classic _record without a
cover_ 12" has been reissued recently). you may want to look into
martin tétreault & otomo yoshihide, who have both worked in that area at
some time or another, though their output is very varied, so you may
want to listen before you buy to make sure you're getting what you want.
perhaps a good place to start would be tétreault & yoshihide's
collaborative cd _21 situations_ (ambiances magnétiques). also, the
_turntable solos_ compilation (amoeba), with tracks from marclay,
yoshihide, tétreault, merzbow, crawling with tarts, erik m & so on... a
very good sampler of what can be done on a turntable. also, if you
think you can stomach it, check out l'île de béton _couche de matériau
insectoïde_ (http://www.notype.com) (plug!) which is something of an
ironic tribute to that sort of cut-up music (hence double irony?).
for a martin tétreault discography:

hope that helps...
