1999:

the RIAA reports that it dealt in 1,400,000,000 MORE dollars than in 1998.
it sold 90 million CDs more than in 1998 (a 10.8% increase).  but the rate
of increase is going down, meaning that the industry continues to grow but
at a slower rate.  i believe that the growth was around 15% a few years
ago.  it's a rate of a rate thang, and it's easily distroted by either side.

not coincindentally, income on CD sales was increased by 12.3?% per disc.
meaning we're paying more for each disc.
