Hotline is a chat/file/messaging server made by http://www.bigredh.com/
Guests can chat, download files, and read messages, but if you want to
upload anything or leave anything on the server, you hafta email me so I
can set up an account for you.

They have clients for Windows and Macintosh available on their site, Linux
and FreeBSD users have a variety of third party clients to choose
from.
