couldn't all this already be done via the Microsound Hotline server we have?
Wasn't that kinda the purpose anyway?

Exactly... there's already a lot of stuff up there for downloading...
including some of my stuff (that would be under eM - what a subtle
hint...). Also check out David Turgeon's Disappeared, Paul Abad's
Programmed Progression, Viratone's stuff, and the Later Days MP3s,
among others. I'd be interested a round robin critique/discussion on
the hotline server if such a thing develops.
I get the sense that not everyone is clear on how the Hotline server
works... not that I'm the expert, but you should write to our
moderator (ehill@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) and request a password/account
thingie, then you can log on and upload at your own convenience. If
there's interest maybe we could schedule a time for a chat, something
like the chats Kim arranged previously. I was impressed with
hotline's abilities when Kim first set this up, but haven't used it
much recently... the whole server thing is an interesting feature of
this list.
