I would say always internal is better less wire to travel=faster
transphere rates. Maybe you just need a better internal drive and that
would solve the issues your having. Alot of people prefer external as this
way they can take it away from the machine and bring the data into another
studio but if your not doing this then why bother go for an internal drive
it will be best in the end. Just make sure the drive is fast and
dedicated
solely to audio data, also when ever youve compleated a project its always
a good idea to defrag and if at all possible reformat the drive.
yeah.. i don't need to transfer drives from studio to studio..
and i've always been good about keeping audio on a separate drive
(or, sometimes, simply a 2nd partition of my main drive).. so
degragging is quick and easy..
