Re: [microsound] Die szenen

Ian,
Chicago, San Fransisco and New York are the obvious
choices....

but_

Baltimore(where I am located)
Detroit
Cleveland
Pittsburgh

all have decent underground experimenatl scenes and
are MUCH cheaper to live in.

I moved to Baltimore from Chicago with cheap rent and
a stable experimental scene in mind. In no time at all
I met a large number of people working within
different sectors of experimenatl music(composition,
out-jazz, art-rock, microsound....) It seems to be
strengthening quite a bit out here lately as well. I
have been booking shows out here for the last couple
of months and crowds have been very good and
attentive! Plus cheap rents have allowed friends and i
to begin the process of renting out a space for
gallery exhibits and performances. A luxury I couldn't
afford in Chicago...

my 2cents
