peter, i think you are correct in your suggestions re translation of
daseinsverfehlung.

guido sprenger's translation is somewhat simplicistic but maybe it points to
the "literallness" of some of tietchens' constructions of meanings. he
pointed this out in the footnote of his essay some pages before dv popps up.

i don't really understand... and i don't find this in guido sprenger's footnote in the book either. he rather points out that a translation won't be able to deliver the particular poetry in the titles tietchens makes up. that's true of course, and therefore any translation will fail, as of course the poetry is what really counts. it's a bit like the english versions of the kraftwerk song texts... they work so much better in german.
