i don't know if you really need to defend against another person's words
in a political statement.  the meaning of wordless music is more
subjective, but i think a relatively clear message can be presented by
the right combination of sounds in the right context.  a very obvious
message could be protrayed in a piece that uses natural, environmental
sounds that are mutilated by digital effects.
