Hello and Intro

Hi all,

I've just joined this list after being told about it by Jonah Dempcy.

I've been interested in experimental sound for a long time, starting out
when I was a child playing with my dad's open reel 4-track and what limited
equipment I could get my hands on.

These days I have a reasonably well equipped home studio (see below for kit
list), but sadly very little time to do any recording. I have some of my
music up on MP3.COM, look for www.mp3.com/mageofmachines if you're
interested. I am very keen on taking unsuspecting sounds and heavily
mangling them using DSP techniques. I have to admit that I've pretty much
been independent in this, I've not really gotten into this genre because
I've not really known anyone else into it. I suppose I should have made a
bit more effort to find a list like this one!

Anyway, I'll stop waffling at this point!
