Well, I went into a rather average Virgin shop in Shinjuku and found a wall display for Mika Vainio's Philus CD, so expect many opportunities for CD shopping, as even Tower Shibuya has a rather impressive experimental section. Manual of Errors ( http://www.manuera.com/ ) is an excellent weirdo music shop to be visited, and the more dance-centered Technique and Cisco Techno (both Shibuya I believe) still had a few astonishing obscurities from far off the musical map. There is also Los Apson in Nishi Shinjuku - mentioned on countless records - but I failed to locate it, the address bringing me to a 1970s UK hard rock specialty shop instead. The Uplink Factory in Shibuya should be checked for periodic events by Nagata Kazunao (of the Zero Gravity and Transonic labels).
