Ok, but not that easily to bringing into one line, either ... Given the
political importance of just language and culture (in terms of
imperialism 'soft', for instance), being all too 'democratically
correct' is not that favorable, either, as more as the (supposed)
inferior estimation of traditional national values does right-wing a
certain electorate ... Note, too, that there is a great difference
between national identity and explicit chauvinism ...

However, respecting the others' (and ones owns) limits will be favorable
to a conflict-less together in a, however, modern, liberal society,
i.e., ever in favor of individual liberties -- as long as they don't
affect (that of) the others --, but not entirely anti-authoritarian, as
there is a general tendency to relating 'respect' towards co-citizens
and existing ('environmental') structures to 'authoritarianism' ...

ps as to Jeremy Tolsma's credit verdict : loaning (probably) is as old
as money itself ..., and while there do yet exist different(-purpose)
rates everywhere -- certainly also in the U.S. --, their total
interdiction by law would presumably destroy not only the bank
institutes as such, but also all the structures depending on them
(borrowers as well as working places) ...
