well, certainly it's an over generalization, however, i still feel it's a
valid point. i think that the positive potential for people in places of
political power is huge and will hopefully become more commonplace in years
to come. the current financial battles that exist within individual nations
as well as between all nations create an environment of corruption and
secrecy that pulls everyone involved in no matter what thier original
intentions were. it is very easy to see the fallibility with this
economic-political world construct, it is far more difficult to change it as
change will only come when the change itself is economically viable not only
to the current power base but the world market in general. the
environment,for example, will not be effectively protected by any government
anywhere in the world until it becomes economic necessity to do so. perhaps
this is some sort of horrifying capitalistic side affect and perhaps not.
there are no clear answers to any of these problems, all we can really do is
try and become aware of the problems and attempt to consider viable
alternatives.
