Talking about object oriented tools why not trying Supercollider (for Macs
only) ?

There's also a very good mailing list and a lot of resorces.

I come from an intense use of Max (Mac), CSound (Windows/Linux), Pd (Linux),
Jmax (linux), but I think that the Supercollider approach is really unique.

Well, it's really an object oriented language, it's text based, you can
write your GUIs, there's SCPlay to use standalone apps.

I thik Max/Msp is a good tool but Sc has its advantages.
