nweamo 2001: Also sprach DJ Zarathustra

Hello everyone, 
Submission deadline ends soon!

NWEAMO (North-West Electro-Acoustic Music Organization) is dedicated to
the promotion of music that involves the creative use of computers and
electronics, and to putting electro-acoustic composers and musicians in
the Pacific Northwest in contact with the international electronic music
community.

After putting on two successful festivals featuring cutting-edge
electronic music, NWEAMO is now looking to highlight the broad world of
turntable music, in all its forms, for the next festival.  To that end,
NWEAMO is seeking DJs, scratch artists, or any act that features a
turntable, to headline a night of our upcoming festival. We are also seeking
VJs for a live-video mix w/integrated music or to perform with another
NWEAMO 2001 composer.

Interested artists should be willing to come to Portland, Oregon for the
first weekend of October, and will perform with many other acts from

Please keep in mind that the 2001 Festival is NOT limited to new works for
turntable. We VERY MUCH want to hear from ALL composers. Types of work
sought include:

..    Turntable works (vinyl or CD)
..    works for solo instrument (acoustic of electric) plus electronics
..    Experimental Rhythmic/Dance Music
..    Live all-electronic performances
..    Improvised music (If work involves substantial improvisation, please
send concise examples that demonstrate your style and approach.)
..    Live performer with prerecorded material.
..    Music involving the creative use of electronic amplification
..    Video with integrated music.
..    Music involving theatrical performance
..    Interactive electronic/performance works
..    Installations with rhythmic or other audio elements
..    Multimedia works with audio element
